Much has been made at the 2017 World Juniors about the habits of Russian head coach Valeri Bragin, who doesn’t like pulling goalies and definitely doesn’t care about who his players are on the ice against. He has his own plan and he sticks with it.

I like the attitude of worrying only about your team. As a coach it’s easy to get caught up in the game within the game and it can take away from your own flow.

Maybe in such a short tournament you should roll your top guys more and not worry about the other team so much. On the other hand, if you’re fortunate enough to have a deep talent pool in your country, how do you take advantage without compromising yourself?

Do you think line matching matters  in general, and do you think it matters more or less in the World Juniors?
